In this tutorial, Ropunawa teaches a suspendable one-rope cross-legged tie (Agura) with his partner and model Freya. This minimalist cross-legged tie, which is highly inspired by Yagami Ren, makes the most out of one 8-meter rope to explore one of shibari’s most traditional – and, for many models, accessible – shapes. The tie can also be elevated off the floor for added intensity. Don’t let the single rope fool you either. For advanced rope bondage practitioners, ‘stripping down’ your practice can open up new ways to play and explore. As Ropunawa explains, it’s a concept that even after many years of tying can show you that there’s still so much more to learn and discover.

Can this safely be used for suspension with feet on top of - instead of underneath - the legs? If not, is there a modification that might enable that?
It's my favorite quick tie
